Rob Carver

CEO/Principal Architect

Robert Carver is the founder of Studio Carver Architects in Carmel, California. A native New Yorker, Rob studied architecture at the University of California, Berkeley. He bought a hide-away in Big Sur in 1974. Since the early eighties he has specialized in coastal land use planning, the design of site-specific homes, and the restoration of buildings of significant historic interest along the California coast. Recent commissions in restaurant, hospitality and retail are welcome additions for the busy atelier. He is past president of the Coast Property Owners Association of Big Sur and a founding board member and past president of Central Coast Lighthouse Keepers, Inc. He also was a volunteer firefighter for ten years and former member of the Land Use Advisory Committee to the Monterey County Planning Commission. Rob is currently serving on the County’s Permit Streamlining Task Force—further evidence of his eternal optimism.

Daniel Peterson

Architectural Job Captain

Daniel Peterson, a California native from Lake Tahoe, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Sonoma State University in 2005. A certified Green Building Professional, Daniel has over a decade of firsthand experience working in the construction industry and is well versed in all aspects of construction, design, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). As an Architectural Job Captain, he is responsible for the schematic design, design development, renderings, construction drawings, permits, and construction administration of multiple residential projects. Daniel has a Master of Architecture degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.

Elizabeth O’Malley

Interior Designer

Bringing over two decades of experience from her career working in fashion design, special event design and production, graphic design, and the tech industry, Elizabeth brings creative and technical expertise to her role as an Interior Designer. She performs best in environments of high stakes and fast deadlines, working with a team of creative innovators. She enjoys contributing to projects that place environmental sustainability and social responsibility at the core of design practices. In addition she is responsible for Studio Carver’s content creation and distribution through various Marketing channels.

Studio Manager

With a passion for innovation and creativity, Emerald brings a dynamic approach to Studio Carver Architects as Studio Manager. A graduate of CSU Monterey Bay with a Bachelor's degree in Management and International Business, complemented by a minor in Music, Emerald thrives in environments that blend artistry and strategic thinking.

Drawing on a diverse background, Emerald ensures seamless studio operations while fostering collaboration and efficiency. Whether orchestrating complex projects or cultivating an inspiring workplace, Emerald is dedicated to supporting the vision and excellence of Studio Carver Architects.

Annette Baird

Accounting Consultant

With over 15 years of accounting experience in many different industries, Annette oversees the Studio’s accounting practices. She thrives in fast paced environments and enjoys helping businesses work smarter not harder through technology utilization.
